Hi, I'm
Valerie.

I'm Filipino, based in Lisbon, and I came to wine the long way round. Ten years in international diplomacy, nine countries, a lot of conference rooms. I was good at it. I was also exhausted.

The conversations I actually remembered always happened around a table. Over food. Over a bottle someone had brought from home.

In 2023 I went to work harvest at a small farm in Portugal — got muddy, got tired, came home smelling like must and completely changed. Wine stopped being something to know and became something to feel.

That's what Sip Stories is. Come as you are. Leave knowing something. Hopefully make a friend.
